If you are looking for 'traditional' dog training classes where dogs meet together, I'm afraid I am not the right person to work with you and your dog. However, I am part of a network of canine professionals who offer positive, reward-based training classes whom I would be happy to direct you to, just let me know and I will make enquiries in your area.
My approach is different, I work with you and your dog on a one-to-one basis, either in person, if geographically possible, or more often from the comfort of your own home via Zoom.
This is particularly useful for those dogs who find the world a scary place and for those who need their confidence building.
Maybe you or your dog are not comfortable in a group situation for health or social reasons or you simply do not have time to spend travelling to venues, working via Zoom solves that problem.
My Animal Centred Education (ACE) approach gives you and your dog a different perspective of learning together through observation, understanding, collaboration and giving your dog a voice.
I work alongside you to ensure we tailor-make a solution specific to you and your dog's needs. This can be done in a variety of different ways depending on your dog's particular need.
You will become your dog's detective, sniffing out what may be driving the difficulties he is experiencing and learning how to support him using ACE techniques.
Ideal for dogs who:
* Find the outside world challenging
* Have been rehomes
* Need a confidence boost
* Struggle to settle or are constantly on the go
* Find travelling difficult
* Have trouble meeting new people, dogs or other animals
* Face challenges at different life stages, puppies, adolescents, adults and
seniors
* And much more, in fact ACE can be used to teach most life skills
During our sessions you will explore ACE principles and discover how they can benefit your dog.
We will meet regularly on Zoom to introduce new techniques and provide ongoing support for you and your dog.
You will also have access to your own online school of videos, Pdfs and e-book to support your progress.
If you or your dog prefer to take things at a slower pace, you will retain access to the course materials beyond the completion date, allowing you to revisit the information as often as needed. It is always best to move at a comfortable speed, ensuring each stage of learning is well established.
Full support is provided every step of the way.
