Our dog's wild ancestors instinctively sought out plant extracts from their environment to stay healthy, heal, or return themselves to health.
Amazingly, our dogs still have this innate ability today!
In modern life, our dogs rely on the choices we make for them. While we do our best, this can sometimes lead to behavioural challenges, health issues, or difficulty coping with everyday life.
The Animal PsychAromatica (APA) Wellness System gives your dog the opportunity to return to balance holistically.
The Animal PsychAromatica (APA) wellness system combines botanical self-healing (Zoopharmacognosy), natural management, Traditional Chinese Medicine methodologies, stress reduction, and dietary support.
This truly holistic approach is a key tool I use to help you support your dog in achieving balance and well-being.
Rather than simply addressing symptoms, the APA system explores the energetic balance within your dog's body to uncover the root cause of physical or emotional imbalances
By restoring this balance, we can facilitate true healing from within.
One of the main ways we can help restore the body to balance is by using specially selected essential oils, hydrosols and herbs within a Botanical Self Selection Session
Each dog is unique, so each session is individualised to ensure we take into account their makeup, temperament and life experiences. One size does not fit all.
Your dog will be offered dried herbs, hydrosols (aromatic waters) and essential oils to select if he wishes.
Nothing will be forced; your dog has complete control over what he does and doesn't select. His body, his choice!
In very simple terms, it is your dog's amazing olfactory system. His sophisticated sense of smell detects compounds within plants, which he then selects to support health.
If the plant extract is not needed, your dog will not select it! Hormones and messages received from his body drive his choice - it is automatic and not something he has to think about.
Each session is usually between 90 minutes and 2 hours in length.
This gives your dog time to work through the process at his own pace. Some dogs are very quick and select only a few plant extracts each session, whilst others prefer to take their time - each dog is individual.
To maintain professionalism and promote a wider understanding and acceptance of botanical self-healing (Zoopharmacognosy),
it is advised that you inform your veterinary surgeon that your dog is to be offered plant extracts on a self-selection only basis. However, this is not a legal requirement.
Having you as my co-worker is paramount because you know your dog best!
I will involve you every step of the way from the initial completion of the pre-consultation questionnaire, to offering botanicals during the session - with guidance - and continuing the botanical offering in between our sessions.
Since most of the dogs I support are experiencing some level of anxiety, I prefer to offer online sessions.
This allows your dog to remain in the comfort of their own home, minimizing stress and avoiding any additional anxiety my presence might cause.
However, if your dog is not dog or people reactive and does not have anxiety, working in person is something we can talk about.
I am based in south Worcestershire, UK.
For those clients further afield or with anxious dogs who find it hard to travel or to meet new people, I offer sessions where we meet via Zoom.
Zoom consultations will require you to have a botanical kit to work with. I will supply specially selected aromatics chosen with your dog's unique requirements in mind.
Since 2020, all my consultations have been run via Zoom, I find it to be a really successful way to offer Botanical Self Healing.
I provide you with support every step of the way.
I am available by email, or WhatsApp. If needed we can jump on a telephone or Zoom call in between sessions to make sure you have all the support you need.
Tracy, you have been so instrumental in helping Cocoa, Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
It was your knowledge and the botanicals that have really helped to narrow down her stomach issues and for us to understand it is not just her back (despite history of back problems) which cause her discomfort.
I know not every day will be great for her but the lows aren’t so low and having more good days are is what life is all about!
